Skrinja (Chest) is a business intelligence and analytics platform that has been operating in a secure private government cloud environment since 2020, integrating various government data sources. By using dashboards, predictive analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, it helps generate insights from data and supports more informed decision-making in public administration.
An important milestone in the platform’s development is Odprta Skrinja (Open Chest), launched in 2026. It provides the public with access to analyses of public spending on public procurement, contributing to greater transparency and accountability in the management of public funds.
The project Skrinja – Business Intelligence in Public Administration was selected as one of the three finalists in the Premik naprej 2026 competition, which recognises the best improvement in public administration. This recognition highlights the importance of developing advanced data solutions that support more effective decision-making, evidence-based policymaking and greater transparency in public administration.
Being selected as a finalist confirms that the digital transformation of public administration is about more than technology alone. Its true value lies in the meaningful use of data, its quality and interoperability, and the development of solutions that provide a better understanding of the current situation and enable more effective policy measures.
